Classes & Grading
At Home of Archery, we welcome aspiring archers of all ages and skill levels! Starting from age 8 and up, our classes cater to children, teenagers, and adults, ensuring everyone can master the art of shooting a traditional bow.
We offer three progressive levels of training:
- Beginner: Perfect for those just starting their journey, focusing on foundational techniques.
- Advanced: Take your skills to the next level with refined training and greater challenges.
- Advanced Level 2: For the dedicated archer, this level pushes boundaries, teaching you to shoot targets up to 50 meters—all without sights, stabilizers, or trigger releases, staying true to the essence of traditional archery.
Our classes combine fun and education, using field targets, 3D targets, aerial challenges, and group activities to sharpen your skills and uncover your hidden talents. Each session is designed to enhance your abilities while keeping the spirit of competition and camaraderie alive.
With a thriving community of 270 passionate archers, Home of Archery is more than a school—it’s a place where talent grows, and lifelong skills are cultivated. Whether you’re aiming for your first bull’s-eye or looking to master long-distance shots, we’ll guide you every step of the way.

As an affiliated archery school with the Gauteng Province, Home of Archery provides students with access to the most prestigious South African sanctioned events, including SABA, SANNA, IFAA, and ABO competitions. This affiliation ensures that our archers can test their skills on some of the country’s most competitive platforms, all while gaining invaluable experience.
We actively encourage our students to participate in these events, which take place throughout the year, from inter-school competitions to provincial and national championships. Our commitment to nurturing talent extends beyond training, offering unique opportunities for archers to achieve recognition and success.
